SpaceX Starbase Tour

It was a thrilling week to visit and tour the SpaceX Starbase location in Boca Chica, FL where they are building and launching the Starship rockets designed to go to the moon and Mars. My son Andruss is a Starship Engineer at the facility and was able to take us on a tour. He gave us a very up close look inside the Mega bays where they build and test the rockets and boosters. We were so close to the rockets and Starship that I couldn’t believe it. We also got to visit the Stargate building, eat at the private Astro Pub aka “Occupy Mars Restaurant”, see the active construction of the new rocket building facility. We also saw the launch pad and found concrete debris from the launch pad that exploded during the initial trial launch on April 20, 2024. The next orbital test launch is currently scheduled for Sept 4. There was no sign of Elon while we were there but it was an out of this world experience. So proud of Andruss. He will be our guest speaker in October (online via zoom) for Home Hacker Camp students. Stay tuned for more info on that.
