Dates & Registration

It’s time to sign up for Home Hacker Camp 2018! The last two years of camp were very successful and we are excited to be expanding again in our 3rd year! We are now offering Level 1, Level 2 & Level 3 (Advanced) camps!

Our mission is to expose, educate and start a strong foundation in critical STEM skills for kids in a fun and engaging way.

Camp Dates 2018

Level 1

In Level 1 camps we build robots and use the computer programming language Scratch to “train” the robot to perform specific tasks (like chase your cat or dog) and complete challenges.  We will learn about programming logic, loops, conditional statements and more.  We work with both visual programming and command line programming.  We will lean how to upload the programs to our computerized robots.  In addition to the robot, we will be building and programming a sound reactive “Disco Dot” – an Arduino based sensor project.  Soldering & programming are key components of the project.

Home School Sessions

Fall 2018 – We are considering adding sessions for homeschoolers and possibly holding a camp in the evenings during the school year.  If you have an interest, please inquire!

More Camp Details

Our camps are fun, interactive and offer a great learning environment.  We will have the 3D printer running throughout camp and each child will receive a 3D printed item.  We will also:

  • Host a 15 min Face Time Q&A session with a robotics engineer in China, NASA or Georgia Tech Engineer
  • Play Tech Trivia each night to reinforce tech concepts
  • Build and program robots and Arduino projects that the campers get to take home & keep

Each child will have the robot programming tools and code knowledge when they leave camp so they can continue to modify and make the robots do fun things!

Scholarships & Sponsors

Lastly, we offer scholarships.  If you need financial assistance PLEASE let us know.   Please support and thank our sponsors!  They allow those with financial needs to attend the camp.  THANK YOU SPONSORS!
